A family shop with a big creative heart
I started Nash&Co Goods & Services with a simple idea: to build something that felt human again. After years in the fast-paced world of design and advertising, I wanted a space that slowed things down, a place where art, craft, and community could live side by side.
What began as a dream I built for my daughter Ellie turned into a living, breathing shop on Congress Street. Every shelf, print, and handmade object reflects the belief that creativity isn't a luxury, it's a way of connecting people.
We don't have investors or backers, just a deep love for our city and the people who make it special. When you walk through our door, you're not just shopping, you're joining a community that believes in real ideas, real materials, and real hands behind every piece.
The values that shape everything we make and do
Everything here comes back to connection. We're proud to be woven into Portland's creative fabric, a community that genuinely values craftsmanship, collaboration, and the quiet art of slowing down to make something that matters. I got into this because I wanted to bring design and creativity back to a human scale. Made by people who care, for people who notice. In a world where creativity is increasingly automated, I want this shop to stand for something different, craft, story, and substance.
Every product, print, and project that comes out of here starts with curiosity. A question. A sketch. An idea that felt worth chasing. That curiosity is what keeps this place alive and honestly, it's what gets me up in the morning.
I opened on Congress Street because I wanted to be part of Portland's creative heartbeat, not just watch it from the outside. We live a few blocks away, and when I unlock the door each morning it genuinely feels like opening our home. People wander in, we end up talking about art or life or whatever, and those small unplanned moments are what this place is really built on.
Nash&Co is a family business in the truest sense. My daughter Ellie is the inspiration behind everything we do here. Her curiosity and spirit shape this place more than she knows. Starting in January I'll be hosting kids' art classes right here in the shop. Paint will get everywhere, the room will fill with laughter, and honestly, in those moments it feels like the whole point of this place just makes sense.
We don't rush anything. Every object, every print, every bit of design that leaves here comes from real people with real stories attached. No automation, no shortcuts. Just hands, ideas, and care. That's the way we like it and that's not changing.
We believe in things that last. The art, the relationships, the little memories you didn't expect to make. Whether you leave with a mug, a print, or just a moment that sticks with you, we hope it becomes part of your story. This shop is my family's way of being part of Portland. And if you walk out feeling inspired, connected, or just a little lighter than when you came in, then we've done exactly what we came here to do.
