A family shop with a big creative heart
We started Nash&Co Goods & Services with a simple idea: to build something that felt human again. After years in the fast-paced world of design and advertising, we wanted a space that slowed things down—a place where art, craft, and community could live side by side.
What began as a shared dream between Jaime and Kate Nash turned into a living, breathing shop on Congress Street. Every shelf, print, and handmade object reflects the belief that creativity isn’t a luxury—it’s a way of connecting people.
We don’t have investors or backers, just a deep love for our city and the people who make it special. When you walk through our door, you’re not just shopping—you’re joining a community that believes in real ideas, real materials, and real hands behind every piece.
The values that shape everything we make and do
At the heart of what we do is connection. We’re proud to be part of Portland’s creative fabric, a community that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and the art of slowing down to make something meaningful. Everything we do is about bringing design and creativity back to a human scale, made by people who care, for people who notice. Our vision is to celebrate craft, story, and substance in a time when creativity is too often automated. Every product, print, and project begins with curiosity, a question, a sketch, an idea worth exploring, and that curiosity is what keeps this space alive.
We opened this shop because we wanted to be part of Portland’s creative heartbeat. We live just a few blocks away, and when we unlock the door each morning, it feels like opening our home. People wander in, we talk about art, we share stories, and those small moments start to add up to something bigger. That’s what this place is really about: connection.
It’s just the three of us here, Jaime, Kate, and our daughter, Eleanor. Kate keeps the shelves thoughtful and alive, Jaime handles the creative work upstairs, and Eleanor keeps us grounded in what matters most. Starting in January, she and Jaime will be hosting kids’ art classes right here in the shop. Paint will get everywhere, the room will fill with laughter, and for an hour or two, it’ll feel like the whole point of this place makes sense.
We take our time with everything. Every object, every print, every bit of design comes from real people with real stories. There’s no automation or shortcuts, just hands, ideas, and care. And that’s the way we like it!
Mostly, we believe in things that last. The art, the relationships, the memories, all of it. Whether it’s a mug, a print, or a moment you take with you, we hope it stays part of your story. This shop is our family’s way of being part of Portland, and if you walk out feeling inspired, connected, or just a little lighter, then we’ve done what we came here to do.
